Lots of exciting things happen in Our School, please see below for updates!

Many thanks to the Parents Association who have donated €300 towards school resources and €400 towards the school tour.

€115 was raised on the day of the Easter holidays.  €95 will go towards the school tour. €20 will be given to the Glenbrohane Altar Flower Fund.

€150 was raised for Crumlin Hospital from the clothing collection held before Easter. Many thanks to all who supported this worthy cause.

School Teams:

Well done to the Girls Football team who reached the Girls Football Final against Ardpatrick and were unlucky to be beaten by 4 points.
They had mixed fortunes in the Camogie competition with a victory and a defeat.

The Boys Hurling team have had two great wins and one narrow defeat. They have one match left in their competition.

  • Many thanks to Garryspillane GAA –who donated €150 to the school.

    Pupil Achievements:
    William Fitzgerald, Thomas McDonnell, Shane O Donoghue played with Ballylanders at half-time in the Limerick v Carlow football match in the Gaelic Grounds.
    Well done to Ryan Tobin, Kevin Cooke and Michael O’Dwyer who won an East Munster Blitz u13 with Galbally Rugby Club.

  • Best of luck to Ciara Slattery who will represent Limerick in the Community Games Handwriting Competition
  • Best of luck to Shane Tobin who will represent Limerick in the Community Games Art competition.
  • Congratulations to Denise Mullins who won the All Ireland Handball u11.
  • Ryan Tobin and Michael O’Dwyer played with Garryspillane G.A.A. in the County Feile Final and were unlucky to be defeated by Doon.
  • Our school quiz team came second in the Mount Bruis Quiz last week. Lorcan Ahern, Patrick Shanahan, Briodhna Lee and Molly Fox did very well.
  • Lorcan Ahern, Michael O’Dwyer, Briodhna Lee and Molly Fox represented the school in the Mitchelstown Credit Union quiz.  They came first and represented the region in Mallow where they came fourth.
  • Congratulations to Lucy Hayes.  Lucy played with Elton Ladies U12 Soccer Team who won a County Cup in an exciting final against Kilmallock which went to penalties.
  • Ryan Tobin has been selected on the South Mackey team.

Non-Uniform Day: There will be a non-uniform day on Friday 10th May, in aid of St. Josephs Foundation Charleville supporting Helena O’Connell in her weight loss fundraiser. Donations of €2 per child or €5 per family please.

Enrolment forms for children starting school in September are available from the office.
